Matches Fashion approached Modus to tender for the design and fit out of the part 7th and part 8th Floor of The Shard, totalling 33,000 sq ft. The client, a cutting edge fashion and technology company, were keen to explore new ways of working and Modus providing a variety of spaces which create the office landscape for Matches – connecting each department with ‘touch’ points. We were also tasked with connecting the open plan working environment with the studio by designing and constructing a staircase between the floors.
From one to one meeting booths, communal work hubs and touchdown meeting points, through to a suit of more traditional meeting rooms for client meeting and management team meetings, Modus provided a fully integrated design and project management service and fit out works delivering the project in just 15 weeks.
Having carried out half a dozen projects within the Shard and The place combined, our team have significant understanding of the Landlords Approvals Process for Licence to Alter and other statutory and mandatory approvals, commensurate with working in the building, which greatly reduced the risk of developing proposals that would be unacceptable to the landlords team - thereby avoiding any potential delay to the project or additional cost to the client.
