Blending Retail and Tech

The new office of the world-leading technology company, Bazaarvoice, is located on Oxford Street, in the heart of London’s retail hub. Our design approach harmoniously blends the essence of this iconic shopping destination into the office's aesthetic. The floor to ceiling glass windows floods the workspace with natural light, offering stunning views of the city. Drawing inspiration from the well-known retail environment, contemporary elements from retail settings can be seen throughout the design. This enhances the ambience and creates a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for employees and clients.

Acoustics played a significant role throughout the design with privacy being a key requirement from the client. Therefore, acoustic panelling was meticulously applied to the walls and ceiling of the meeting suite, ensuring total privacy. Notable features include track lighting reminiscent of those used to showcase the latest fashion trends. This lighting serves a functional purpose and adds an appealing visual dimension to the space. Glass manifestations, inspired by the brand, reflect Bazaarvoices’ identity, and provide privacy when needed.

Industrial Chic with a Sustainable Twist

The exposed brick walls in the office lend an industrial chic charm, adding warmth and character to the modern workspace. The distinctive curved shape of the bar in the teapoint was designed to mirror aspects of the Bazaarvoice logo. These subtle brand references have helped to curate a tailored sense of community and identity, contributing to the wider sense of belonging for Bazaarvoice employees. Suspended shelving lined with biophilia both maximise space and add a refreshing touch of nature to the workspace.

Sustainability was a core theme within the client brief, of which our design team have woven into the design. Collaborating with our sister company, Platfform, allowed us to incorporate high-quality, durable furniture crafted from recycled plastics and sustainable materials, ensuring longevity and environmental responsibility. These sustainable elements are complemented by inflexions of vibrant colours throughout the office, aligning with the brand's dynamic identity.
