BCO Award Winners

Modus have been confirmed as winners of a British Council for Offices Award for their project at 20 Bentinck Street. The BCO Awards are a prestigious annual event in which outstanding office buildings and fit out projects across the country are recognised for their innovation and originality.

Modus won the award for best project under 2,000sq m in the London and South East Region. The scheme is now automatically entered into the judging process for the National Awards with the winners announced in October.

The judges recognised the transformational effect that the new environment had made to the occupier, who went from a traditional looking cellular office and fixed desk environment to a dynamic open space with “free address” technology. The judges described the scheme as “more New York loft than office environment” and praised the way that the design allowed the client organisation to interact and exchange ideas in an informal but technologically advanced environment.
