Modus Helps Confidential Charity Relocate and Modernise

Modus were approached by the charity, initially as 1 of 3 companies, to present to them the process by which they could design and fit out a new office space. We quickly recognised that there was time, and therefore a marvellous opportunity, for staff to be engaged to help define the vision for the new space. With the client’s budget in mind, we explained how a light-touch workplace strategy would be appropriate and how we had helped several other clients in a similar way. The client was so impressed with our approach and experience that they decided to negotiate with us rather than put the process out to tender.

This show of faith in Modus was much appreciated and reciprocated as we went the extra mile to assist the client in evaluating potential new office locations, defining their brief, presenting several design revisions and squeezing as much as we could out of their budget to ensure a new office space that incorporated not only their operational requirements but also all of their “nice-to-haves”.

Their new office in 30 Millbank is a fantastic representation of their brand and values. Open plan office space is supported by breakout pods, informal meeting areas and more traditional meeting rooms alongside a new “working” teapoint where staff can drop in, hook up to wifi, and work in a more flexible way with a community feel. They are an energetic organisation and this is represented through the design with clean lines and empowering pops of colour representing the company branding.
