Mike Garrett named a Finalist at Construction Manager of the Year Awards

We are so pleased and proud to announce that The Chartered Institute of Building has named Mike Garrett as a finalist for the 2021 Construction Manager of the Year Awards!

Focusing on people rather than projects CMYA, run by the Chartered Institute of Building, offers a unique chance for managers in construction to compare themselves with their peers. It is the gold standard of award accolades. The competition has been running for more than 40 years. It is open to all site-based and programme managers, whether they are CIOB members or not.

‘It’s a real privilege to see my name amongst some of the best in the industry in what is a tremendously coveted competition. I’m incredibly thankful to those that have helped me get to this stage and look forward to seeing everyone at the event in September.’

Finalists in this year’s final represent billions of pounds of built assets.  Each category has a Gold and Silver medal winner, the overall winner, Construction Manager of the Year, is chosen from the Gold Medallists.

Caroline Gumble Chief Executive of the CIOB said: "Our CMYA competition seeks out the very best of leadership and talent in our sector so my congratulations to everyone who’s made it to the finalists list this year. These awards are a barometer for the management talent in our sector and those who have reached the final are an example of excellence in construction. We applaud them and their professionalism.”

Medallists and the overall winner will be crowned at an awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 29 September 2021.
