Sustainable Touches
Imagine working in an office where the energy of a commercial kitchen meets the comfort of your own home. That was the vision of Nomad Foods when they approached us to design their new headquarters. With a desire to unite their team and create a space that embodied their passion for food, this project was an exciting opportunity to bring people together and celebrate the company's core values.
Inspired by the company's vibrant brand colours, we curated a toned-down palette, creating an aesthetic and focused working atmosphere. An interconnecting staircase enhances communication between the two floors. Acoustic panels, made from 60% recycled materials and recycled plastic bottles, ensure a serene atmosphere while aligning with the company's commitment to sustainability. The carpets, made from recycled fishnets, provide a unique and sustainable flooring solution, making a subtle nod to Nomad’s commitment to ocean conservation and the responsible use of marine resources.
Collaborative Innovation
The company's dedication to food was at the heart of the design. A commercial kitchen studio on the ground floor provides a space for events, training, and food trials. On the third floor is the “foodies" teapoint featuring an integrated herb garden, pendant lights made from food waste, and a Nomad Bar for gatherings and events. The kitchen areas were designed to spill into the town halls, seating, and lounge areas, creating a cohesive and inspiring space that reflected the company's collaborative nature. The fourth floor is a versatile landscape, blending work zones, an IT hub, and a tranquillity room.
Nomad's brand colours and culinary passion are woven into every corner, with various functional spaces that cater to their love for food. We have fused Nomad Foods' essence with sustainability and innovation, creating a space that reflects the company's heart and soul.
